How to import data from Google Sheets

Importing data from Google Sheets is a straightforward process that can be done in a few steps. First, you'll need to create a new Google Sheet and add the columns you want to import. The required columns are:

  • 'note': This column will contain the text of the note.
  • 'tags': This column will contain the tags for the note. These have to be separated by a comma.

Once you have created the Google Sheet, you can import the data into Leapfrog by following these steps. First, you'll need to create a new whiteboard in Leapfrog. Next, export the Google Sheet as a csv file. Then, import the csv file into Leapfrog by clicking on the 'Import' button in the toolbar on the left side of the screen. This will open a modal window where you can select the csv file you want to import from.

When pressing Import, Leapfrog will start to import the data from the Google Sheet. The recommended size of an import is no more than 100 notes at a time. You can split up your data into smaller chunks and import them one by one.

After the import is complete, you can view the imported notes in thse whiteboard. Each tag is now associated with a note, and you can use the tags to organize and filter your notes.

Filtered notes with tags

That's it! You've successfully imported data from Google Sheets into Leapfrog.
